For the first time in a long time, it seems the entire state of SimDemocracy has awakened to clean up its discord server and subreddit for the expected guests. Old channels have been archived, new laws passed and memes posted to the subreddit.
This all is happening in preparation for the release of a video by popular youtuber "Danyo" or "Trolligarch" which is said to contain a section about SimDemocracy. Many users hope this will convince viewers to join the server and thus usher in a "new golden age".
In particular, Speaker of the Senate and prominent political figure Hazzy (Lemon Party) has made an "intro to SimDem" post to help the guests orient themselves and perhaps convince them of staying. This also contains a much needed summary of the constitution.
Additionally, a new law allowing the president (with confirmation from the Senate and SC) to declare a "state of emergency" during which SimDem's borders shall be closed to immigrants and guests has been introduced to the Senate by SPQR-party pundit Dovahkiin. As this bill has not received any meaningful negative criticism by the two opposition parties in the Senate it is expected to be ratified soon.
